Creating Account
Creating an Algorand account for Algofi.
Currently Algofi only supports the My Algo Wallet and Algorand Official Wallet. Your connected wallet will be used to sign transactions with the protocol. Start by pressing "Connect Wallet" and then choosing from MyAlgo or Algorand Official in the resulting pop-up.
Selecting MyAlgo will prompt you to set up a wallet if you have not already.
Selecting Algorand Official will prompt a QR modal that must be scanned from within your Algorand Official application.
Step 0
ALGOFI WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO SHARE YOUR SEED PHRASE OR PASSWORD.
Step 1
The opt-in process starts by funding a storage account with ALGO from your wallet. The storage account is used to immutably store your user information on the Algofi protocol. This step is necessary because the Algorand blockchain allows users to clear their application state at any time.
Step 2
The Algorand blockchain requires users to opt-in to a given ASA before they may receive it. Algofi protocol has a seamless user experience by issuing one transaction during the opt-in process to opt-in to all the assets Algofi supports.
Step 3
A transaction must be signed to opt-in to the manager contract.
Step 4
The transactions are sent to the blockchain. Please be patient as the full opt-in process can take up to a minute.
